Potty Training with Kandoo Flushable Wipes #Giveaway

Potty Training

You know what’s hard … having kids, you know what’s harder … potty training them!!!!!!! Just when you think you found the light at the end of the tunnel, your mini decides they are going to throw you through a loop and has accident after accident after accident (AHHHHHHHH SOOO FRUSTRATING).

If I have learned some things from the first round of potty training my older guy:
– you are never out of the woods (at least until they are teenagers) accidents happen all the time
– never leave home without a change of clothes (maybe even throw an extra pair in your car as back up for you or even a friend – your friend will love you for life for saving them on this one)
– have a Kandoo hand soap at EVERY sink in your house (they will want to wash their hands because they come in fun colours and smells so good)
– if you are leaving the house, always carry some form of anti-bacterial soap because some how that urine or feces will end up in your hands (true story)
– you can never have enough wipes on you and around your house: regular wipes on every floor and flushable wipes in every bathroom (needs to be in reaching distance)
– kids see that nicely rolled up white toilet paper and want to unravel it and use it so badly but DO NOT LET THEM. It breaks apart and crumbles in their tiny little hands. No good comes from using it, TRUST ME ON THIS PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I was introduced to the Kandoo line about 5 years ago and I have never been let down by them. Their products have been there for me for all problems: leaky nose = Boogie Wipes (smells great and uses saline to help clear their noses), Kids not wanting to wash their hands = Kandoo Hand Soap (smells amazing and is coloured for having fun while washing your hands), Kids don’t want to take a bath = Kandoo Body Wash (also comes in fun colours to entice them to go take a bath) & Kandoo Bubble Bath, Kids learning to potty train = Kandoo Flushable Wipes (safe for toilets)

One of the scariest parts of potty training is leaving the house with your undiapered child. Now Kandoo has their flushable wipes in soft packs for the “on-the-go” moments. Make sure it becomes an essential in your bag.

Kandoo® Introduces a Bath and Body Line

Kandoo Kandoocustom

I feel like everyone knows the Kandoo line, however, if you don’t then you must try it out, I can guarantee your kids will love it!

I have always been using the Kandoo hand soap for my little guy. What drew me in (to be quite honest) … was the cute container it came in and then I saw it came in all different smells and instantly bought them (yes “them”, obviously I needed both) and now my son loves his “magic soap” as he calls it.

I was recently introduced to the bath and body line which I was given to try out and it’s a clearly a hit, the proof is in the pudding (see below). The idea behind the bath and body line is teach independence with the large, easy to use pump and the bright colours mixed with the amazing smells.

Here’s an introduction to the line

Kandoo® Moisturizing Hand Soap

  • Contains Vitamin E and Natural Fruit Extracts to moisturize while cleaning
  • BrightFoam® green and purple coloured soap lets kids see when they are covered with soap, for a better clean
  • Available in 250 mL bottle in Funny Berry and Magic Melon scents
  • Suggested retail price: $4.29
  • Here’s what I think of it: it’s a must have in our house, we have one at every sink. It’s always been a struggle to get my older guy to wash his hands after he comes in from playing in the playground or school but when I tell him he can choose his colour soap, it’s like I just offered him a cookie

Kandoo® Moisturizing Body Wash

  • BrightFoam® purple coloured soap lets kids see when they are covered with soap, for a better clean
  • Bottle sits snuggly in the corner of the tub for easy use by kids
  • Contains Vitamin E and Natural Fruit Extracts to moisturize while cleaning
  • Tear-free formula
  • Available in 250 mL bottle in Tropical Smoothie and Funny Berry scents
  • Suggested retail price: $4.29
  • Here’s what I think of it: I have always wanted my older son to start washing his own body and hair and this was just the product to get him to do it (as you can see from the picture above). The large pump allows him to easily get out the soap and the fun colour makes him want to put it all over his body where he thinks he is turning purple and doesn’t realize he is washing his body … mommy wins!

Kandoo® 2-in-1 Conditioning Shampoo

  • Contains Vitamin E and Natural Fruit Extracts to clean and condition hair
  • Tear-free formula
  • Frog bottle fits in the corner of the tub for easy use by kids
  • Available in 250 mL bottle in Tropical Smoothie and Funny Berry scents
  • Suggested retail price: $4.29
  • Here’s what I think of it: same with the body soap, my son now washes his own hair and what I think he loves most is the delicious smell. He actually said last night in the bath “mmm, smells so yummy”

Kandoo® Simply Suds Bubble Bath

  • Contains natural moisturizers (natural Shea & Cocoa Butter) to prevent drying and to help children’s skin maintain its natural moisture balance
  • Creates rich long lasting bubbles
  • Sulfate-free and specially formulated for kids with sensitive skin
  • Tear-free formula
  • Available in 473 mL bottle in Tropical Smoothie scent and Sensitive Skin (unscented)
  • Suggested retail price: $4.99
  • Here’s what I think: I have always had a hard time finding a good bubble bath because either the ingredients are all filled with words I don’t understand or they have hurt my little guys eyes (yes there are still products on the market that are not tear free – try explaining to a 3 year old covered in bubbles not to touch their eye’s .. first thing he does .. touches his eyes with the soap). We have been using this bubble bath the last few weeks and so far we have had a great experience as it is tear free and the bubbles don’t dissipate after a few minutes
  • Kandoo® Detangler
  • Salon-quality formula, created with the help of professional hair stylists, is packed with natural ingredients to moisturize and condition hair
  • Works on all hair types, including long thick hair that is prone to tangling
  • Easy to use mini-trigger sprays a fine mist and won’t clog
  • The gentle, tear-free formula contain no parabens, sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates (SLS), phthalates, BHA/BHT or petroleum distillates found in some detanglers
  • Available in 236 mL bottle in a light fresh scent
  • Suggested retail price: $4.49
  • Here’s what I think: Unfortunately I have not tested this product as my son has short hair that does not get knotted but if you have had an experience with this that you want to share, please comment below, we would love to hear from you

Kandoo products are sold at Walmart, Loblaws, Rexall, Shoppers and other retailers across Canada.

Pampers Kandoo Products

kandoo hand soap

After Frankie got Hand Foot in Mouth (what feels like a million years ago), I have become quite neurotic and clean his hands a thousand times a day (along with mine). I think calling it a “struggle” to wash his hands is a total understatement until marketing took it’s toll and I bought Pampers Kandoo hand soap honestly because of the cute frog and colourful bottle they were in and well they were a brand name I knew and recognized and I figured why not try it out.

I put it on my hands first, showed him the fun green foamy colour (that smells sooooo good … watermelon) and he was intrigued and wanted some on his hands  … sometimes I think I am so smart 😉 Now, I sit him next to the sink, put the soap on both of our hands and well let me say there are a lot less tears.

Part of the Kandoo family are the flushable wipes for the potty trainers out there. We were sent those to try out, but we are not one of those YET … but crossing my fingers we will be headed down that road soon and that’s when we will be testing those out. They are moistened with lotion, so no irritation; cleans up to 30% better than toilet paper; they come in packs to bring with you on the go so your never stuck without wipes in those emergency situations (it doesn’t sound fun, but have seen friends in those emergencies)  and they are biodegradable so you can flush them down the toilet and they won’t hurt your septic tank.

NEW KANDOO! Meet the new Kandoo Clean Crew frogs and take the Oath to keep yourself super clean at http://www.pamperskandoo.com/Take-The-Oath.aspx.  They will be giving away 1000 Super Power Clean Kits each month!
