The Toy that will Make your Kids Laugh #HolidayToyList

I was recently introduced to a new toy called Sing-A-Ma-Lings and when I mentioned these cute toys to a friend thinking they were new, she looked at me as if I was crazy for not knowing them!

I gave these funny looking yet totally adorable little things a go, handed them to my mini toy reviewer and let him decide if they were worthy enough of his time. Within 2 minutes of figuring them out, he was belly laughing because the Sing-A-Ma-Lings (we got 2 of them) were talking in their own funny language … TO EACH OTHER.  They communicate! He was so fascinated by them singing together that he tried to have them FaceTime to see if they can do the same thing over the phone

I played around with them for a bit (during my mini’s nap time because there was no way I was laying a hand on them when he was up) and figured out there are three modes of play: Harmony (they harmonize together), Jibber Jabber (they talk in their funny language together) and Song (each one sings a word of a song together). Combine any of the 6 Sing-A-Ma-Lings and enjoy listening to them harmonize together.

This is definitely on my hot toy list for the holidays!

Comfort & Harmony’s Portable Swing Review and GIVEAWAY

Comfort and Harmony Portable Swing in Cozy KingdomI can’t begin to count how many nights I slept on the couch while my son (both of them) slept peacefully in a swing. Yes it’s not the best habit to get your kids into, but if that is what gets my kid to sleep than fine by me! Unfortunately, swings are big and bulky that there is NO way you could pay me (especially after giving birth) to lug those crazy heavy things up the stairs and down the stairs daily so that I could sleep in my own bed.

I was given an opportunity to try out Comfort and Harmony’s Portable Swing and I have to say I wish that this was around when I was buying a swing. My little man seemed to really like it. He was trying to catch the animals that dangle down and the swinging and music seemed quite calming … for both of us! Greatest part (from the parents side), when I need it upstairs, I bring it upstairs and when I need it downstairs, I bring it down. It’s lightweight so easy to transport.

Comfort and Harmony Portable Swing

Here are all the great features of the swing:
– plays 6 melodies with volume control
– 6 speed swing options
– It has TrueSpeed technology which ensures the motion stays the same even as the baby grows
– Easy folding and storage
– Took about 10 minutes to put together
– Recline seat with two positions (great for the newbies and the older babies)
– It has a harness which is a MUST seeing as my little guy loves to arch his back and would slide off in a second
– Seat pad is machine washable (this is a must seeing as my son spits up every hour)
– Fits kids up to 20lbs (I can get a few more months out of this sucker)
– There is a swing timer that has three settings: 15, 30 and 45 minutes
– Lightweight so it’s easy to move around the house

I have to say the best of all was when I was putting together the swing, I saw a tag on it that had their phone number right on it for any questions you might have. Now that is a company that cares about those that buy their products

Dinosaurs are Back and Enter to Win!

Frankie is at a great stage now where he can play by himself and is learning to use his imagination. A lot of my purchases these days are toys that will encourage him to use his imagination and even though they show a higher age recommendation, I don’t think it’s too early to start.

Being a PTPA blogger, I get the opportunity to test out products and blog about them. Recently, I was recently offered to try out a collectible dinosaur called the Carnegie Brachiosaurus. Up until that day, he had no idea what a dinosaur was and now he runs around the house screaming “dine-sor, dine-sor” (according to him the “o” is silent). The minute I gave it to him, his eyes lit up and no joke, he wouldn’t put it down, it came with us EVERYWHERE. Did I mention, this Dinosaur is 18.5″long and 7″high?!! This was a great way to introduce my little guy into the world of dinosaurs

First thing we play with in the morning

Showing me his new toy!

Playing hide and seek with his Dinosaur – I was clearly having a hard time finding the two of them!

What’s even more amazing (from a parents perspective) is that like all the Carnegie Dinosaur Collectibles, this dinosaur is authenticated by the paleontologists at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, home of one of the world’s largest collections of dinosaur fossils. Each Carnegie Dinosaur Collectible is individually hand painted, resulting in vivid designs that appeal to all imaginations (the fine details on this toy are truly impressive) and are lead free. Recommended age 3+

Thank you to our friends at PTPA and Safari LTD, we would love to offer one (1) lucky reader the Carnegie Brachiosaurus that was awarded the PTPA Award. Value is $29.99. Enter on rafflecopter below

The contest  is open to Canadian and US residents and will close December 5th at 5:00pm. The winner will be chosen through and announced under this post and on the Babylish Advice Facebook page.

Best of luck
